Part Three. How the ecosystem is organised

Chapter 10

Mapping the players

10 min read Updated 3 November 2026

Building a chalet in the mountains mobilises a small army. The surveyor marks out the plot, the architect draws the plans, the notary secures the title, the engineering firm calculates the frame, the mason pours the foundations, the carpenter raises the structure, the insurer covers the risks, and the banker finances the whole. An owner who thought he could do without any one of them would be in for disappointments. It is exactly the same for a tokenised asset. Behind the token that appears in a digital wallet stand a dozen professions, often invisible, always indispensable.

By the autumn of 2026, the ecosystem had stabilised enough for a map to be drawn. The reader will see who does what. The entrepreneur will look for his place in it, and for his partners.

The value chain

A tokenised asset is born, lives and circulates at the end of a chain of six successive links, fed by a few cross-cutting functions. Each link corresponds to a profession, often regulated, carried out by specialised players.
